{"id":8018,"date":"2022-02-10T22:46:52","date_gmt":"2022-02-10T20:46:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/skydiveacademy.com.ua\/how-to-get-a-uspa-skydiving-license-united-states-parachuting-association\/"},"modified":"2023-01-09T20:13:23","modified_gmt":"2023-01-09T18:13:23","slug":"how-to-get-a-uspa-skydiving-license-united-states-parachuting-association","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/skydiveacademy.com.ua\/en\/how-to-get-a-uspa-skydiving-license-united-states-parachuting-association\/","title":{"rendered":"How to get a USPA skydiver license"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So, you have completed your <a href=\"\/?p=6156\">AFF course<\/a> and would like to obtain a <strong>USPA A-License<\/strong>?<\/p>\n<p>To obtain a USPA A-License skydiver license (certificate), you must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>be a USPA member;<\/li>\n<li>have a minimum of 25 free fall jumps;<\/li>\n<li>fulfill all requirements specified in the USPA A-License Proficiency Card;<\/li>\n<li>perform 5 group jumps with the participation of at least 2 people;<\/li>\n<li>fill out the USPA A-License Proficiency Card form;<\/li>\n<li>pass the oral and written exams.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>USPA A-License holders may jump without the direct supervision of an instructor, pack their main parachute, participate in basic group jumps, and perform water jumps.<\/p>\n<p>USPA A-License Control Jump Procedure:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Choose the method of exit that is most comfortable for you.<\/li>\n<li>In free fall, perform a complex of figures without taking into account time: turn to the right by 360\u00b0, turn to the left by 360\u00b0, back somersault (with a deviation of no more than 60\u00b0 from the original direction).<\/li>\n<li>Approach to the instructor and capture from a distance of 5-6 m.<\/li>\n<li>Initiate the end of work and perform a run-up at a distance of at least 30 m.<\/li>\n<li>Make the go-ahead and open the parachute at an altitude of at least 900 m.<\/li>\n<li>Perform control and making approach to landing according to a previously agreed scheme.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The oral exam consists of 20 questions, the written one of 40.<\/p>\n<p>The questions are taken from the USPA Integrated Student Program with a focus on the following topics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>cloudiness and visibility requirements;<\/li>\n<li>operation and maintenance of equipment;<\/li>\n<li>canopy control;<\/li>\n<li>procedure on the plane;<\/li>\n<li>recommendations for running up in group jumps;<\/li>\n<li>actions in special cases.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The USPA instructor administering the exam provides or arranges for review training necessary for the student to ensure that all of the student&#8217;s oral responses are correct.<\/p>\n<p>When the student successfully completes the test jump, answers all oral exam questions correctly, and passes the written exam with at least 75% correct answers, the USPA instructor signs the USPA A-License Proficiency Card and sends it to <a href=\"mailto:safety@uspa.org\">safety@uspa.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Preparation for certification, passing exams and paperwork is carried out at DZ Skydive Academy on Saturdays and Sundays by prior arrangement and weather permitting.<\/p>\n<p>Welcome to Skydive Academy!<br \/>\nFor all questions please call. <a href=\"tel:+380991380000\">+38 099 138-00-00<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So, you have completed your AFF course and would like to obtain a USPA A-License?
